Frequently Asked Questions

Do you need to be a professional in Psychology and have knowledge of the Person-Centered Approach in order to participate in the Forum?”

No, the Forum is open to everyone. Professionals or students of psychology, philosophy, education, and anyone interested in Carl Rogers’ ideas and who wants to apply them in their preferred field can participate.

The Forum begins on Tuesday the 24th and ends on Sunday the 29th of September, 2026. Can I register and pay for only some of the days?

No, unfortunately, Forum registration is based on a format that includes all the days of the event. There are no discounts for people who attend for fewer days.

What is the official opening time and closing time of the Forum?

The Forum will welcome participants starting at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24th, and will officially say goodbye to those who have participated after lunch on Sunday, September 29th, at approximately 2:00 p.m.

All participants have the option to arrive before or leave after the Forum’s scheduled times, as long as they coordinate with the organizers and arrange this with the San José Retreat House.

What is the official language of the Forum? Is there simultaneous translation during the presentation of papers?

The official language of the Forum, since it is held in Spain, is Spanish. However, as we have traditionally experienced, there are people who volunteer to translate into English, French, Italian, and Portuguese at almost all of our events. We allow the presentation of papers in different languages, and each presenter will need to find a way to arrange a translator for their presentation.

Do I need to consider any extra payments during the Forum beyond the registration cost?

The Forum registration fee includes all meals: breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner, as well as coffee breaks between presentations, the booked room with a private bathroom and bedding, and the delivery of all workshop materials for those days in digital format.

It also includes a guided tour of El Escorial during the event.

I need to follow a medical diet. Does the Forum accommodate special diets during the event?

The Forum offers a varied menu to suit all tastes. If you have a special diet for medical reasons, we can provide that diet as long as you notify us in advance so we can prepare it.

This approach is consistent with the forum’s tradition of accommodating special needs, including dietary requirements.
