Lidia Fogliati - English teacher and psychotherapist.
She worked as an English teacher for several years and later studied Psychology. She has been a Person-Centered Approach therapist for thirty years.

She discovered Carl Rogers’ ideas in an introductory course at the former Rogerian Association in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and found that Rogers’ thinking expressed what she had always thought and felt about human relationships.
Throughout these years, she has developed her private practice, accompanying individuals, couples, and families. She has participated in training and supervision groups, organized encounter groups, and presented papers and workshops at various Latin American and international events.
She has written a book titled “Búsquedas” (“Searches”), in which she shares experiences and testimonies from her practice as a Person-Centered Approach therapist.
For many years, she has also accompanied women during their pregnancies, both in normal processes and in high-risk cases. She is currently working alongside a fertility specialist, supporting couples going through challenging and painful treatments in their search for a child.
She was a member of the board of the World Association (PCE World) from 2010 to 2016, and she is currently serving again as a council member of that association. She has always been involved in producing the World Association’s newsletter. Over the years, she has featured writings from respected colleagues from Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, and Chile, as a way to help more people become aware of the strength of the PCA community in Latin America.
She feels that being a PCA therapist has helped her in every task she has undertaken. Empathy, open listening, presence, authenticity, transparency, and trust in people’s processes are powerful elements in creating genuine human encounters.

Previously, she studied Psychology in San Miguel de Tucumán, falling just a few subjects short of graduating, at which point she had to move to Buenos Aires for family reasons. There, she settled, started a family, and decided to continue her training through Counseling, following the Person-Centered Approach.
Within the field of Counseling, she specialized in both personal and family development, as well as in workplace settings, especially in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). She was a workshop coordinator for the EAP (Employee Assistance Program) service at ICAS Argentina and worked on relationship issues in family businesses through EPOGE, Counseling Services. In addition, she was a member of the supervision and assistance services of the Argentine Association of Counselors and Holos. She currently continues to work as a counselor in her own private practice.
Raquel also has a distinguished teaching career. She held the chair in Couple and Family, and for nine years taught a postgraduate course on the same subject at Holos.
She was also vice president of the Argentine Association of Counseling (AAC) for two terms and later served on its Ethics Committee. Raquel is certified by the International Association for Counseling NBCC Argentina and has participated in numerous ECP congresses and forums as an attendee, workshop facilitator, and presenter.
